He was appointed as a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission by decision of the Council of Ministers as of 09/23/2019. Engineer Al-Hafnawi has (21) years of intensive experience in the telecommunications and information technology, as he worked with several international mobile network vendors and solution providers (Huawei, Motorola, Nokia and Samsung Electronics), and also recently worked as a program manager of the broadband solutions at Saudi Telecom Company.

He has wide work experience in various telecommunications fields,

which included management, technical and consulting experiences in managing large projects, including planning, design, implementation, operation and maintenance, optimization and performance of cellular networks of different generations (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), and also has experience in broadband and Wi-Fi solutions, as well as indoor and outdoor solutions, in addition to experience in the field of virtual Mobile network operators (MVNO).

Engineer Al-Hafnawi completed an executive track in Management and Leadership of technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology/United States in 2018; The track has specialized courses in the following topics : Internet of Things (IOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital transformation, understanding and solving complex business problems, platform strategies, strategic cost analysis for managers, and all courses aim to know the implications of digital technologies on business strategies, and opportunities building.

He also received several different training courses in the areas of: entrepreneurship, E-marketing, strategic planning, quality standards, performance improvement, customer experience, strategy of negotiation and professional project management.

Engineer Al-Hafnawi holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan in 2002, and also holds a Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Jordan in 2008.
