Dr. Nooh Alshyab

Subsequent to the decision undertaken by the Council of Ministers in November 2021.
Dr. Nooh Alshyab was appointed as a member of the Board of Commissioners at the Jordanian Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC). He has more than twenty years of combined professional and academic experience as an economist. For almost 8 years, he was employed at the Jordanian Foreign Ministry and worked specifically appointed at the Jordan Embassy in Berlin.
He oversaw the economic research and coordination of economic cooperation as the Head of the Economic and Investment Desk there. Dr. Alshyab has then worked for about 12 years as a Professor of Economics at Yarmouk University.
He is specialized in political economics, economic development and relapse analysis. He served as Head of Economic Department and has organized and participated in several international conferences and workshops.
Dr. Alshyab has a longstanding experience in research and has published more than 30 studies and reports. Furthermore, he has acted as economic consultant for several international organizations and agencies.
In addition to being a member of the Experts Panel of the Euro Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA) and other think tanks and research organizations, he also serves as the Country Director for the Euro Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies (EMANES) in Jordan. Dr. Alshyab holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Potsdam (Germany), a Masters Degree (Economics) from Dresden University of Technology (Germany), and a Bachelors Degree (Economics) from Yarmouk University .
